Yoga for the Big Day!When it comes to getting married, there are so many aspects to consider that the bride often loses sight of, or isn't allowed the time to enjoy the reasons she wanted to do it in the first place! This 45 minute plan for yoga on your big day is designed to help you connect to your spouse, enjoy the family and friends you're celebrating with and feel as great as possible! From preparing you to dance in heels to helping you reconnect to gratitude and grace, this program is designed to consider the whole bridal experience. Together we will manage stress, practice enjoying the ride, lengthen your calves and free up your hips, and find a deep connection to your self, your spouse to be and the world around you.
First things firstKnowing what you want to accomplish and being clear about what you want your big day to be like will help you get where you want to go. Today we set intentions and lay the groundwork. Take a moment and light a candle, put on some music and grab a pen. Open your notebook take a moment to jot down a few things you are grateful for. Ask yourself, What do I want to get out of this experience?
Take a moment and set an intention for how you will go through the day. Repeat it to yourself three times.
Getting movingThis short series of poses is designed to calm nerves, prepare you for dancing, and help you focus on connecting to the love you have for your soon to be spouse (as well as all of the family and friends who came to support you). Feel free to skip things you don't like or linger in things that feel good. Flow with your breath and body, and don't worry about what is perfect or prescribed. This is for you.
